Dirty Old Boots.com is launching its first serialised adventure trip – The BikePackers. A group of motorbikers and their pillion riders will make one of the most difficult and physically challenging and according to many, one of the toughest motorbike trips in the world – to the deserts of Ladakh. And for The BikePackers, it will be even more taxing.
It is not just a bike trip, but an adventure trip in the truest sense of the term. The entire trip the team will camp in tents, conduct morning duties outdoors, cook their own food, clean their own dishes. And then rev their bikes and ride till late afternoon, set up camp, cook dinner, sleep in mind numbing cold, and ride again the next day.
Lunch will be cooked at breakfast time, consumed in the middle of the afternoon. And then ride through some of the most spectacularly beautiful geographies on Earth. The meadering roads of Sarchu, the deep sand of the Morey Plains, the second highest motorable road at Tanglang La, narrow dirt tracks, the spectacular Gata Loops, the sand dunes of Hunder, the monastery at Sumur, cliff riding all the way, with the sheer drops never far away.
And to top it all, the effects of high altitude that brings on illnesses of all kinds – physical and mental. This is not a trip for the faint hearted. It is for the truly adventurous. It is an opportunity to
make the road trip to Ladakh and back like few have done before. It is a trip that great memories are made of. And you will have the opportunity to share the memories on film through the multi episode series that will be presented exclusively on DirtyOldBoots.com.
The expedition (it is truly an expedition class journey, unlike a lot of others) flags off from Delhi midnight of July 31. If you want to be a part of a trip of a lifetime, book your place now. What you need is your bike in prime condition, a 2-man tent for you and your pillion, spares (no mechanic support, so you better
know what to do), booking formalities completed and of course, your head in the right place.
So come on ... join the expedition and become one of The BikePackers.
